Tess Watson's Facebook profileSocial Media is not a new concept to me. I have a Myspace account (that I don’t really use) I have a dreaded Bebo account which is soley for the purpose of redirecting people that look for me there. I also have a Facebook account. Facebook was introduced to me by a very good friend. He uses Facebook to collectively communicate with various friends and colleagues. It is much more secure and user friendly than Bebo or Myspace. In fact some schools in America are using it for educational purposes. During the trial of the Glow portal, I used our Glow groups and discussion boards to communicate with pupils. I would say that Facebook has a similar layout to Glow. Robert Jones  and Glowboy have joined me so far. Any other Glow mentors or Glow fans want to join in?

I could start a non-glow, Glow group?!

  • [...] Back in January, I invited readers and others to join me on FaceBook. FaceBook is a form of Social Media that, in my opinion. Is far superior to Bebo. FaceBook was created by a group of Harvard undergraduates. Originally you required a valid Matriculation number to join, though now it is open to anyone. Unlike Bebo, there are many groups you can join on FaceBook. Some Academic, some social and some are just for fun.
