The Big Tent Festival is a weekend of celebrations, music, art and creativity which champions the work of the environmental movement and those concerned with the conservation of the living world.
Eva from Transition Town Portobello is organising a Transition Scotland Gathering as part of the Big Tent Festival this summer. The gathering will have two main parts: a meeting of groups who have already begun a Transition Initiative in their area or are on the verge of starting one, and another for anyone who’s interested in the idea more generally. The first bit will be fairly informal: people will be able to share what they’ve been doing, what they see as their next steps, and talk about their successes and the things they’d like help with. The second bit will introduce the Transition Model and then have small discussion groups for people wanting to talk in more depth about particular areas. Both sections will have inspiring speakers (and good biscuits).
Anyone wishing to find out more should contact Eva directly.
