During a recent visit to Poland I was able to visit three local schools. Here is what I found out.

Not all have got german lesson in first year lower secondary. They can choosthe second language besides english. At school can be to french, german,

I went to an international congference on Dyslexia some years ago (a week in Paris - can’t be bad!).
Those of us from Britain, Germany and Scandanavia were given a rude awakening during sessions about ICT when we learned that rather than one PC for every classroom (as it was more or less then for us) the delegate from Poland said there were about 5 or 6 computers in the whole of her region. Salutary. It may be different now of course.

Thank you Ola for your comment. The last sentence about German was supposed to be the caption for a photograph of a German class which I visited. Unfortunately the photo is missing.
