Present: Harry Rogers, Mhairi MacDonald, Emma Rogers, Brodie Beveridge, Emily Wilson Beales, Mrs Maguire, Ms Finlayson.
The committee were shown the eco-school pages on the school blog, and it was explained that minutes will appear on there in future.
Ms Finlayson read out the email telling us Stenton was commended in the East Lothian Yellow Pages competition. The winning entry was an armchair, with a child sitting in it, and was called ‘rest, relax, recycle’.

The picture has now been submitted to the National Yellow Woods Art competition, which is judged in October.
It was decided that next year we should begin to collect the yellow pages much earlier, before Christmas, and advertise the collection more actively around the village.
Mrs Maguire told the committee that Stenton now has a domestic kerbside collection for blue and green boxes.
Mhairi expressed an interest in the children doing power walking again during health week, as they did last year, and the rest of the committee agreed that this would be a good opportunity.
Mrs. Gilanders requested that we get another white paper bin for the GP room, and Mrs. Paterson would also like one for her office. Mrs Paterson will email the council to ask for more.
The committee decided that our focus over the next few months will be on healthy eating. This will tie in with Health Week and Veginvasion, as well as the ongoing healthy schools promotion.
The committee will survey all of the children and adults in the school to find out what they are eating during the school day, and collate the information. This will then be shared with the whole school at assembly. The survey will be repeated several times in the weeks leading up to easter. The committee will design the survey sheet at the next meeting, Feb 26th.
