We got wind of an excellent opportunity today for all schools and teachers in East Lothian. It was from Learning and Teaching Scotland on the Scottish Continuing International Professional Development Programme (SCIPD). It is for international exchange and visits for teachers.

It’s one of these things that’s been around for a long time but not very well publicised. I went to Canada to study French Immersion and it changed my outlook on teaching and learning for life. I know a few East Lothian teachers who’ve been to South Africa recently, too, to look at citizenship. Well worth the form filling!
LTS now have taken charge of promoting, processing and helping Scottish teachers get their rightful places on these competitive trips.
For leaders there’s a good opportunity each year to put yourself forward to lead trips as a facilitator. Equally good fun…
