5 Things you didn’t know…

January 15th, 2007 · 1 Comment

Having been tagged by David Gilmour I suppose it’s only right and proper that I follow through with my five pieces of (possibly) mildly interesting information….

1.  I am a fan of Airdrie United.  Someone has to be….

2.  My one and only ‘claim to fame’ is being flown back to Glasgow from Dublin(was on holiday after the game had been postponed the week before) by the Sunday Post(!) to play for Glasgow University in the first round of the Scottish Cup and appearing on Sportscene that night.  I was a human interest story as I had had my two front teeth kicked out the previous round. After all that we lost 1-0 to Spartans!

3.  Included above, I lost my front teeth playing football!

4.  I killed a chicken with my rucksack while on a bus in Zambia, it was completely accidental, but the chicken’s owner was most unhappy, understandably…  The rucksack emitted one of the most vulgar smells you could ever imagine, even after a good wash in Lusaka Airport. I had to travel home stinking of dead chicken innards, but surprisingly strolled through British Customs unchallenged!  The rucksack and most of its contents were eventually binned on arrival in Edinburgh.

5.  I cried when my son was born.

I will now tag Paul Goodall, Charli Russell and Neil Goodfellow
