Butterfly Farm visit

Published by jwatson under Enterprise, Toddler Room

Yesterday the Toddlers went to visit the Butterfly Farm.
We had a wonderful picnic on the area outside and then went to see all the creatures in the farm. We saw a snake, millipede, bees, ants, spiders, scorpions, caterpillars, butterflies and much more…… As you can see from the pictures we had a fantastic time and we all overcame our fears of creepy crawlies.

Visit to the Power Station’s tractor

Published by jwatson under Enterprise, Junior Room

Yesterday the Junior’s went across the road to Cockenzie Power Station to find out about their tractor. We found out that they use it to pull a the trailer to carry ash to and from the coal plant. We also talked about other jobs tractors are used for, e.g. on the farm and gardening, etc.
We loved sitting in the tractor and putting on the lights and sounding the horn. We found that the tractors back wheels were as tall as some of the us and the front wheels came up to our noses.
