We have held our annual Dragon’s Den event. P4/5/6/7 pupils have worked in groups to decide upon a product to sell at the Christmas Craft Fair. They made a prototype, costings and resource list and then presented their ideas to the Dragons. There are some very imaginative and creative products this year and production has started! Of course, Nursery and P1/2/3 will also be making crafts to sell. As usual we will start with Carol Singing around the village at 6pm and then make our way down to the Hall for our Craft Fair at 7pm.

This week is Walk to School Week. We are meeting at the Glebe at 8.30am. There was a great turn out today! Hope to see you all tomorrow.

Miss Leslie and the netball team would like to thank all the parents who came to support our Parent v Pupil event on Friday. We raised £56 with your very generous donations. We had a vote today and decided to use the money to buy sky blue bibs, more balls and replacement nets for our poles. Thank you again! We really appreciate it! Today was the last netball practice until nearer Easter….it’s a bit cold now.

P4/5/6/7 would like to invite you to our Parent v Pupil Netball Match on Friday 3rd October at 11.30am.
It will be a Pay to Play Match and the money raised will be used to buy new netball bibs and balls.
Hopefully you can spare £1 to play for 5 minutes!
Refreshments will be available for a small donation.
We hope to see lots of you there!

Teddy Bear’s Picnic June 26, 2008

We played lots of games, there was singing and dancing and of course, there was some picnic food. P1/2/3 had great fun organising this event. We look forward to welcoming our new P1 pupils after the summer!

Book Party!! March 5, 2008

Come to school dressed as a character from your favourite book. If this is not possible just bring along the book and you can take part in the Great Book Swap! Keep looking at this post and we will add photos after the event.
The Book Party was a great success! People made a huge effort to dress up as a character from their favourite book. We celebrated World Book Day at assembly and some girls from the P4/5/6/7 class provided us with party food. They even decorated the fairy cakes with the names of different authors. Some pupils have swapped books at our official Book Swap which was organised by Katie, Daisy and Chantelle.
Smoothie Cafe February 28, 2008

Kinex Winners! February 4, 2008

On Thursday 31st January 2008 Ailsa Russell and Angus Riddell attended the cluster Kinex Competition at Ross High. They had to make a vehicle with a motor that could drive down a ramp carrying a shoe and an eraser. Ailsa and Angus made an amazing vehicle and completed the challenge successfully. Our winning pair are going onto the next round of the Kinex Competition at Dynamic Earth. Another triumph for Saltoun!
