Finding Right Angled Triangles

Many geometric shapes contain right angles and right-angled triangles.

You may find it helpful to sketch the right angled triangle being used.

Find a right angled trianngle out of a shape and use this example and theorem

xsq =5q +8sq
>xsq =25+64
>xsq =89
>x=89sqroute =9.4 (to 1 d.p)

*the sq is squared and sqroute is canna obvious but its square route

    Hi!

    I think it’s great that your class is blogging like this. In case you’re wondering, I’m a math student from Canada, and my class has a blog as well. Click on my name to check it out.

    I think I speak for my classmates when I say that we really make use of our blog. Imagine this: if we make our posts really detailed and nice looking, we can easily refer to them and possibly help other people! Personally, because I think my classmates have done a great job, when my exams come I’ll just go online and read the blog. Less things for me to carry home =).

    Keep up the good job everyone.

    egyptians knew that a triangle with sides 3,4 and 5 made a right angle triangle. they had a rope with 12 equally distanced knots in it and they pulled it out so its sides had 3,4 and 5 knots each side. it formed a right angle triangle! this is how they made the edges on the pyramids! aged 12
