My Bikes

For as long as I can remember I have had a passion for motorcycles. I’ve owned many, from ancient bangers to modern missiles. Most pleasure has been with small to middle weight bikes, both on and off road. My favourite British Bike I had the pleasure of owning for many years was a Royal Enfield Continental GT. It made my teenage mouth water and I was lucky enough to pick one up for £50. Alas the marque was washed away by the onslaught of modern Japanese bikes from the sixties and seventies. British industry didn’t keep its eye on the ball, lacked investment, suffered from apalling complacency and poor industrial relations. Here it is in all of its glory, got one for sale anyone? It leaked oil like a sieve and could crack the high eighties in speed on a good day. I want mine back!
