How do you Web?
One of the most commonly used applications in the world is Microsoft Internet Exlorer. It has been around since 1995 (Version 1.0) and is still around today (Currently version 7.0)

The web browser has had many new looks and features added to it over 13 years But it is not the only choice for browsing the web with.
Firefox Is one of the new web browsers available as freeware (Free to install and use). Firefox will celebrate it’s 4th birthday in November this year (2008) and is currently running on Version 2.0 and is prepairing to release Version 3.0 in the near future (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/7264622.stmhttp://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/7264622.stm).
When firefox was launched an advert was placed in the New York Times broadsheet newspaper (Think Glasgow Herald or The Mail on Sunday in size) that listed 10,000 names of donors to Firefox. You can see the advert here.
There are other web browsers available but by far Internet Explorer and Firefox lead the way.
