You can make a difference October 2, 2008
Posted by Law Middle in : Uncategorized , trackbackAs a clebration of our Green Flag Award we would like to continue making a difference. We read an article in First News about saving water and felt that we would like to do something using their 5 suggestions.
* taking a 4 minute shower instead of a bath
* turning the tap off when you are brushing your teeth
* placing cotton wool and tissue in the bin instead of flushing them down the toilet
* asking mum and dad to wait until the washing machine is full before switching it on
* washing bikes or parents’ car with a bucket and sponge instead of a hose-pipe
* filling the kettle with only the water you need

Congratulations on winning your Green Flag. That is quite an achievement. I found this article very interesting. The ECO reps at Pencaitland Primary School are focusing on water this year. I will tell them to check out this page for ideas.
