You can make a difference October 2, 2008

Posted by Law Middle in : Uncategorized , trackback

As a clebration of our Green Flag Award we would like to continue making a difference.   We read an article in First News about saving water and felt that we would like to do something using their 5 suggestions.

* taking a 4 minute shower instead of a bath

* turning the tap off when you are brushing your teeth

* placing cotton wool and tissue in the bin instead of flushing them down the toilet

* asking mum and dad to wait until the washing machine is full before switching it on

* washing bikes or parents’ car with a bucket and sponge instead of a hose-pipe

* filling the kettle with only the water you need

What do you think?   We would welcome comments on our blog.

Congratulations on winning your Green Flag. That is quite an achievement. I found this article very interesting. The ECO reps at Pencaitland Primary School are focusing on water this year. I will tell them to check out this page for ideas.
