Writing Set 3

Here in Writing Set 3 we are working towards Level C, Term 3 Primary 7 and we are doing an absolutely fantastic job! We had a change of teachers this term so I am lucky in getting to know and work with lots of different pupils this term.

Our last genre was imaginative story, and we created a story about an evacuee and the mysterious house they were sent to during World War 2. Our Learning Intentions and Success Criteria focuessed on choosing interesting, mysterious and descriptive words and phrases to make our stories exciting and create a mysterious tone. I hope that we will be able to upload some of our stories here to share with you all.

We have just started learning how to write newspaper articles and we have begun by learning how to write an interesting and informative introduction to a news report about the Blitz in London which we did by watching a clip from the film “London Can Take It” which I am trying very hard to upload to the site.

Next we will think about making effective headlines and writing a whole article about something which interests individual pupils.
