Visits to P.L.H.S
The children of PPS have started visiting Preston Lodge as part of the transition process.They are going in small groups of 6 or 7 for a couple of hours each time.They should have 3 of these visits over the next few weeks.
Group 11 (Moira)
My first immpressions of PL was it was really big and I will probably get lost! My group was going to do Biology but instead we did Chemistry and it was really fun because we made Custard slime and after we made a bouncy ball but it didn’t really work. It didn’t work out because we never had enough time to get the air bubbles out of it! When it set in the bag it just looked like a prune but it still bounced at least once ![]()

Enterprise is the Business
| March 13, 2008 | ||
| 12:50 pm | to | 3:15 pm |
On Thursday 13th March we will be going to Preston Lodge for another Enterprise Event. We will be sharing the afternoon with Primary 7 pupils from St Gabriel’s Primary to give us an opportunity to make some new friends before we move up to high school, and we will also be having lots more fun making and presenting our ideas!
We will be having our lunch at school after our normal morning and then heading up the road together for a bit of fun and learning. In class you will fill in a worksheet before you go to make sure you’re as prepared as possible to get the most out of the event.
Half-Term Holidays
Welcome back everyone from your half-term break. I hope you had a great time and you are back refreshed, ready to learn and with plenty of news to share!
In the 6 weeks until the Easter Holidays we’ll be finishing off our topic on World War 2, making our classroom and school look its best and starting to work on learning how to write newspaper articles in our writing sets.
It’s also not long now until your very last term at primary school, so we’ll be doing lots of work and activities to help you prepare for your transition to Preston Lodge.
Let’s make this last 2 terms be full of happy memories!
See you in the morning….
Mrs Adams

We recently visited the Haddington Corn Exchange to learn about Enterprise and Education. A great day was had by all, and I hope that this week we will get some pictures up and some thoughts from the children who were there about what they learned - watch this space!
