Well, 6H this is our final term of P6. Where has the year gone? I don’t know about you but I feel the time has flown past. We have a busy few weeks ahead.First of all we have to finish our Living and Growing topic .Alongside that we will studying Scottish Landmarks as part of Homecoming 2009. Areas such as castles, abbeys, battlefields, monuments, bridges, landscapes and modern day attractions will be studied .This will hopefully give us a more informative image of what Scotland means to us in the 21st century. We will be working in our Home Teams on this project. How well do you know Scotland?
Look out for a pictorial quiz coming soon…………..
Here are 2 to get you started! Name the castle and the the loch.

For art this week we have been inspired by the Scottish artist called Tommy Fitchet.
He uses different colors to remind people of scottish landscapes.
Here is some information on Tommy,
I am a self taught artist whose work is predominantly abstract inspired by nature, by the Scottish landscape and by the changing light of the seasons.
I like to think of my work as organic and my originals are moulded by my surroundings and my emotions. Since childhood I have found art, especially abstract art, the most natural way to express myself and the best way to escape from the pressures of everyday life.
I paint using many mediums but I have found that my art is most fluid and expressive when working directly onto glass. Working this way I achieve a depth of tone and colour, a freedom of expression and wielding of light.
My recent work has been inspired by cityscapes in Edinburgh and Glasgow and by the Isle of Arran, based on the essence of a feeling of a particular moment.
Whether it be the urban landscape of the city, or the shorelines and rugged landscape of Arran - when the sun suddenly comes out and shines brightly upon the sea or the landscape just for that brief moment, and you get that wonderful feeling that stays with you, that is what I am trying to capture in my paintings.
To date, I have exhibited in galleries in Arran, Edinburgh, Glasgow and London. My work is also in private collections around the world. All my work is original and every piece is unique and a one off and I do not sell prints of any of my work.
(words from his website)
Here is some of our art work,

We tried out an extension of the ball game today. We used a ball of wool instead of a ball ,each of us holding onto the wool as we passed the ball around the group. It worked really well.Everyone co-operated and completed the task.We even managed to unravel the wool at the end !
