We worked in pairs to do this task and decided as a group what the design was going to be.We had to measure bits and bobs so that we did not waste any of the resources. We took our time to make these drums. It was fun but we still had to work hard and work together. So we all started of with design, then we started our drums and made it easy.We all had to try and bring in tins so that we could make the drums.
After we were finished the drums we put them on display at our display of knowledge. They were fab!!!!!!

Hi there 6H
I hope you had a great October week and got lots of fresh air and exercise and not to much tv! I went to Northern Ireland.Do you know what the capital city is ? Anyway we visited Exploris which is an aquarium and seal rescue centre. They had 2 baby seals being hand fed until they could feed themselves. They can bite when they get cross ! We also visited a fantastic science centre called W5 where you can try lots of different activities including the slime test!!!!!
Maybe you can tell me what you got up to during the holidays?

We all have taken part in a drama workshop. We all enjoyed it and had lots of fun hearing storys then acting them out.The person that did it with us was Marjorie Sweeney. She was very good at drama and she was good at telling storys. We had to pretend to be on a ship and jamie made up something called sweep the plank. To do what the army does and do a commando crawl when we were doing sweep the plank. The otherthings were port, starboard, captins coming, cooks coming, cooks been and bombs over head.We all played a part in everything we had to do and did very well. A write up will follow soon from the teams.
P6h were doing a home team challenge on 3d maps of Africa. We had to have 2 main rivers, congo river,2 deserts and more. We all enjoyed doing the home team challenge and we presented them to our class. Our class got 2 postits each 1 pink and 1 green. The pink postit means tickled pink and the green means green for growth. By Natalie Sneddon

We work hard in 6H .We are trying really hard to build a class community.Part of this involves teamwork and communication. We work in Home Teams to carry out challenges. This is good fun and a different way of working but we are really enjoying learning to collaborate with each other.
