Welcome Back!
Hi everyone, we are Mrs Stewart’s new P 3/11 - welcome to our first blog. We hope you are going to join us each week and share all the exciting activities we will be doing in primary three.
Our new project is about Prestonpans. We looked at a map of Prestonpans on the interactive whiteboard and although i couldn’t see my house we could pick out the school because of the field. People in our class liked Prestonpans because it had a beach, shops, a swimming pool, a dentist, the community centre, and a golf course nearby. Prestonpans also has lots of special buildings like Preston Tower, A Doocot, the Mercat Cross, and Hamilton and Northfield houses. There are also lots of parks and a Chinese Restaurant. Next week we are going to plan how we can find out more about our town. Alex
Visit to the Burgh School
On Tuesday we went on a normal bus to see a play,
called Elsewhere, at the Burgh School in Musselburgh. We were very lucky because the first bus that came was a double decker and the driver said he could take all three classes. When we got off the bus we had to walk up to the school and wait a little while. The play was good and was about Joe leaving Somewhere and going to Elsewhere where everything was quite different.
.
I didn’t like Elsewhere because you had to keep all the rules but in Somewhere everyone had fun. When we got back to school we did a sheet about the play. Shannon
Interactive Whiteboard
This week we had a go at online sudoku on
our interactive whiteboard. You had to work out which number was missing from each line or box of four. We have started off with only one number missing from each line and Alex has the record for finishing the puzzle the fastest in just 15 seconds. Next week we are going to try the puzzles with more than one number missing from each line. I really liked doing the sudoku and did some on a sheet when I got home. Abby
We have just finished our serial story. It was The Twits by Roald Dahl. On Thursday we had to do a Book Review. My favourite character was Mrs Twit because she always was playing tricks on Mr Twit.

I thought the best bit was when Muggle Wump and his family escaped. I thought this story was excellent. Rebecca
Show and Tell
For my show and tell I brought in a doll.
It is a special one because it belonged to my gran and then my mum and now it is mine. It is very old, more than fifty years old but still has the same clothes as when my gran had it. I keep it on top of my chest of drawers. Shannon
I brought in a whistle for show and tell. I got it from Asda and it came with my football packed lunch box. When you blow hard it is really loud. I keep it in my wardrobe but take it out when I go to play football. Thomas
Golden Time
For my golden time I did a drawing of one of the classroom plants.
Mrs Stewart told us it was a hibiscus which comes from the rainforest. Elle

Well done to all the boys and girls in P3! You were really super on our trip to the Burgh School to see the theatre production entitled” The Town called Elsewhere”. You all listened really well and your behaviour was terrific. Everyone was a great credit to Prestonpans Infant School! Keep up the good behaviour and work! This now sets the standard for future outings and visits boys and girls!!
