Primary 2/3 - Developing our thinking skills.
Problem Solving
This week we had to solve problems by sharing our ideas with our partner.
We had to build a bridge. We had a paper plate and then we had a small tube with another paper plate on it. I built the paper plate and the tube and Michael built the other bits. We had to put the marble over the bridge and see if it stayed up. The first one fell down but the second one stayed up. We were learning to work in a team. We got on very well! Erin
Here are some of the bridges built by other pairs
Story making
This week we made pictures that told a story. We used paint and sponge printing with black pen to add detail. When we had finished our story pictures we had to tell the story to the class.
In my story picture there are five burglars trying to steal money but one got caught. He got put in a cage and then onto a ship. The ship almost sank. There are 3 cars trying to catch the burglars. There are aeroplanes chasing them too. Scott.R
My pictures tells a story about two aeroplanes flying in the sky. One is stuck and another one is taking it to the plane garage. On the ground some elephants are walking to the zoo and people are having a ride on them. They are having fun! Rebecca.T

I am loving your blog P2/3. It is really exciting to see what you have been doing. Your bridges look amazing. I wonder if they would be able to hold a toy car or person? I am delighted to see that you are all wonderful at working in a team and think that it helps you to learn. Sometimes I do good thinking on my own but I think some of my best thinking and ideas happen when I work with Mrs Kettell because we have even better ideas when our brains work on something together. I wonder how Miss Young works best?
