In music we have been practicing songs for our school Easter play called Good News. We are having lots of fun in our year group.

In our topic, Living And Growing we have been discussing the boys changes to the body and the girls changes to the body. We have also been discussing puberty and periods.

On the 1st of April 2009  we , as a year group are going to Edinburgh zoo . We are all looking forward to it and are all very excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In class we gave been doing lots of really good topics and games.

We have been doing art with an artist called Ettie Spencer. We were decorating all different colours of squares by painting on them ,drawing on them, sewing and them and sticking things on them.It was lots of fun!

In writing we have been writing newspaper articles. We wrote about the celebrity big nose climb, when 9 celebritys climbed right to the top of mount Kiliminjaro in  Africa for comic releif. Yesterday we wrote about a plane crash in montana. Most of us are enjoying newspaper articles.

For language we have been writing questions for people like Barack Obama , Tony Blair and the Queen to  answer for us.

In spelling we have been  planning our own activities and words. We have continued look, cover ,copy,write, check ( LCCWC)

For homework this we week we had to write a letter to the main character of out reading book or be a character from the book and write to someone else in the book.

In gym, this week we done badminton and for the people who wanted to they done a high jump so mrs Sellwood could pick someone for the compitition in Meadowbanks

We have been having lots of fun !

My maths set have been working very hard to master multiplication.  We have been multiplying 2 digit numbers by 1 digit.  Although at first this was tricky  we have done a great job of learning our tables which has helped a lot.  We have made posters to show other classes how to solve multiplication problems. 

Amazingly we have improved our tables challenge time - from 12 minutes to 3 minutes in just two weeks.

We have done so well this term we are getting extra Golden time on Friday.

January has been a very quick month for P6B. We have been working hard in all subjects and the learning that has been happening has been fantastic. Whats more this term the class have been working very hard to build our class community and make it stronger. We all made new years resolutions and are trying hard to keep them.

Well its our second week back at school and its going great we are all reaching our targets and behaving really well. We are good at our school topic ‘cool in school’, we have made Robert Burns pictures, been making windmils we took them out side and we created posters on air resistance and we have been doing lots more.

We had a lovely final week in class making Christmas cards and decorations as well as a bit of Christmas singing.  Well done to all the children who made fantastic sleighs for homework- I was very impressed with santa’s new and improved mode of transport.  Hope you are all enjoying your holidays.

Hiya my name is Nicole and iam am pupil of the week because i have not been on the tracking sheet for three weeks.

This week we have been writing reports about the x factor and been doing cool in school. In my maths set we have been doing fractions and in art we have been doing characters/cartoons of our selfs.

I think our class is getting better at being positive.We are reading a class book called the dolphin song it is good so far.

Fantastic news - Primary 6B earned the most jewls last week, well done to all the children who worked hard to achieve this.  I am very proud of you all.  I hope pictures will follow of our fun time on the space hoppers to celebrate our success.

Welcome back!

I hope you all had a lovely October break. Now that we are all back at school there a few changes to tell you about. P.E will be on a Wednesday after sing along, I expect you all to bring a P.E kit. We will be continuing our Africa project for a couple of weeks then moving on to some new exciting work before Christmas.

You all worked very hard last term and have done well building a strong class community. Keep up the good work!
