Christmas - make a difference to someone!
Published by November 18th, 2008 in Information. 0 CommentsAre you or your family looking to buy a Christmas tree?
Look no further! Why not buy one from the ‘Caring Christmas trees’ scheme.
Every tree purchased generates cash for the Bethany Christian Trust to help with their work over Christmas with the homeless and vulnerable .
Simply follow the link below and order your tree.
http://www.caringchristmastrees.com/
It couldn’t be easier.
Once ordered, they can be collected a little nearer Christmas at the following locations to suit you.
If you would prefer a leaflet, see Mr Kiernan.
Go on, ‘needle’ your parents and push for a real tree this Christmas.
The Bethany Christian Trust is a registered Scottish charity based in Edinburgh. It was set up to relieve the suffering and meet the long-term needs of homeless and vulnerable people. The scheme, which has now been running for three years, sees proceeds from the sale of trees used to support Bethany’s Care Shelter over the winter months. The Care Shelter, which operates at different city centre church premises, provides food, a safe place to sleep and advice to rough sleepers in the capital.
List of pupils with over due books have been sent to registration teachers. Please check the lists and make sure you return any over due books that you have.

As you know at break on Friday 14th November, it’s the Children in Need event held in the assembly hall. We are offering all S5 the chance to come to the hall during Period 2, if they are not busy, because of their Column F study period.
Period 2, although the main events/attractions haven’t started, the Dance Mat competition and Buzz quizzes (maybe more consoles/games) will be available to all S5 who have bought a ticket to the main show at break. Any remaining tickets for fifth years will be sold at the door P2.
Thanks, and have fun!
