Week beginning June 23rd 2008…

This week is Activities Week at Preston Lodge High School and we are all going to the zoo!

On Monday we will be travelling into Edinburgh by minibus to visit the zoo - the forecast is unfortunately for rain and so pupils should come prepared for the elements. Can parents pay particular attention to whether your child leaves home with a coat or jacket - this will be essential if the BBC are right!

It would be good idea for everyone to check the forecast before leaving the house on Monday morning.

On Tuesday the intention is that we spend the afternoon in Dalkeith Country Park. Again, unfortunately, the weather forecast does not look too good - so please ensure suitable clothing is worn. Suitable footwear will also be essential for this trip.

On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday normal classes will resume. The pupils should follow their routine timetable however there will be a few fun events factored into it. In Science it is intended there will be a garden picnic - to celebrate our successful gardening project, fabulous plant produce and generally fantastic hard work all year. The picnic will hopefully feature strawberries ;-)

We hope that all of our pupils have had a good time in their first year at Preston Lodge High School. We have enjoyed every minute of working with the ELP students and they have been an absolute pleasure to teach.

We hope that you all have a fantastic holiday - get some rest, have some fun and come back refreshed for the new challenges ahead of us in S2.
