We take turns to make up our “official” weather forecast by using the BBC website and the Met Office website.
We compare this with the information we collect using our own home made weather station (see Elp Science for more details of how to make the weather station and our weather station diary)
Our classroom weather board (Week One)
whether-the-weather-be-hot-or-whether-the-weather-be-cold.doc
In this lesson we will be thinking about the weather in terms of how it affects people as they go about their daily lives. We will be thinking not only of the people in East Lothian but those who live in other countries. What is the weather like in, say, Ohio? Why? How will it affect the daily lives of people in Ohio? (And how does the weather affect US as we go about our business?)
The linked work sheet at the top of the page can be used as an introduction to the ideas we wish to address…
