On Tuesday 8 and Wednesday 9 December Preston Lodge High School hosted its annual Christmas Concert. The event was a great success with all five hundred tickets selling well in advance of the event.
The Concert not only showcased the wealth of talented youngsters of Prestonpans, Cockenzie, Port Seton and Longniddry but also the commitment of staff and pupils in the Music department and wider school.
Over 150 pupils were involved in the event and items ranged from traditional Christmas Carols and African drumming to the Eagles and the Pipes and Drums of Preston Lodge. Highlights of the evening included the Enhanced Learning Provistion pupils performing Start of Something New from High School Musical and a rousing finale of Auld Land Syne featuring both school choirs, the Big Band and the Pipes and Drums.
The Music Department would like to thank all those who supported the event and in particular those who donated prizes to the raffle which raised £500 which will be donated to Bankfoot Service.
The official photographer for the evening was S6 student Jack Helm who has put together this short video.
More video of the concert will appear here soon.
