I entered into the local produce category and entered my recipe. Hopefully I will make the next round….
Tests
November 10, 2008 on 8:47 pm | In French, Modern Studies, Science | No CommentsAt school I have been doing a lot of tests recently. I have just completed a science test on cells. I am in the middle of a modern studies test, which I should finish tommorrow. I sat a French test on ‘me’ when we had to say 7 sentences about ourselves, and I have another French test tommorrow. It is about ‘me’ again but this time we are asking the questions. In fact, I’d better get revising……………………………………..
A womans role in society
October 26, 2008 on 6:20 pm | In Modern Studies | No CommentsIn modern studies we have been learning a bit about a womans role in society. We looked at the differences between a woman from the 1950s and a woman nowadays. Here are the main differences
1950s
- stayed at home
- looks after kids
- cooks tea all the time
- does all the housework
- hardly ever goes out at night
2008
- works or has own career
- looks after kids/kids at childminders
- takes turns to make tea
- takes turns with housework
- goes out with friends
You can see how times have changed, thankfully!
Yummy Cakes
October 14, 2008 on 3:56 pm | In H.E | 1 Comment
In home economics we made cakes. here is what we did:
- first, we put the flour, the egg, the sugar and the butter into the bowl.
- then we mixed the mixture until it was light and fluffy
- after that, we put the mixture into an oven-safe tub/tray and put it into the oven for 15- 20 mins
- whilst our cakes were cooking, we made our icing
- if you want lemon icing, put 5ml of lemon juice into a clean bowl
- then add the icing sugar
- if you only want plain icing, use water instead of lemon juice
- add your icing to the cake
- enjoy!

I handed it in on Monday and the teacher said it was good. I like French a lot.
