What a fun topic! Millie and I had a great time sorting through all the bags of stuff from when I was little and laughing at the photos! It also made us set off into Edinburgh during the February break to the Museum of Childhood where we had a lovely morning looking at all the old toys. Well done P1 and thank you so much for sharing your museum with us.

It was quite odd to see so many things from childhood in a museum setting; made me feel quite ancient! Interesting (or maybe amusing) to see some of the mums in their old school photos! And it took me back to have a wee listen to Mel and Kim at the listening post……Ben (and the other children) liked showing me around and telling me what they had prepared and what everything was, and they were very keen to know what I was writing on my feedback form.

Fantastic project. Millie loved raking through the boxes of stuff from my childhood. It also prompted us to visit the Museum of Childhood during the hols, which was a lovely day out. She loves playing with my old Tiny Tears despite its battered eye and funny homemade clothes, and found the Petite typewriter hilarious as you have to hit the keys so hard!
Millie H’s mummy
