This term P1 have been using glow to set up 5 video conferencing sessions with P1 and P1/2 classes in four other schools in Scotland, helped by Mr Kingsbury.  These schools are Longniddry and Athelstaneford in East Lothian, St James’ in East Renfrew, and Lairdsland in East Dunbarton. Last Wednesday parents and friends were treated to a wonderful nativity play, ‘Born in a Barn’ performed by P1, P1/2 and P2/3 classes.  The songs were incredibly catchy and the audiences were singing along.  Well done to all the children who took part.  Don’t we look great in our costumes?

Last night was quite magical at the school. The hall was decked with fairy lights and moon and star balloons, seven soft areas were covered with cosy cushions, and beakers of milk and yummy biscuits were prepared. In P1 we have started our new project about Night and Day. Mrs Kerr asked “Why does it go dark at night?” We said -
“So you know when to go to bed.”
“It goes dark because everyone is tired.”

Primary 1 have now nearly completed the first term of school, and we have made a great start. We have been so busy already, learning about letters and numbers, minibeasts, friendships and lots more. Here are some photos of P1 at work.
