Making Maps
In P2/3 we have been working on our mapping skills. We went for a walk to the crossroads in Pencaitland looking out for landmarks. When we came back we drew maps with directions for getting to our school.
We also thought about road safety when we were crossing the road, so we wrote instructions for that too! To finish our topic we drew our own treasure maps, painting them with teabags to make them look old. It was a lot of fun.

I found it interesting to read you were studying map making. I have just bought a new photograph of the school taken from a helicopter. I will bring it along as I think you will find it very interesting. It really does look like a bird’seye view.
