We remember
Today we took time to think about remembrance. P7 lead our assembly as an end to their WW2 work.
Rachel started our assembly by playing ‘after the battle’ on the piano. The class then told the story of the poppy aided with some dramas. Kirsty and Beth concluded our time by playing ‘the last post’ on the xylophone.
We encourage everyone to take time out this weekend to remember all the men and women who have lost their lives, have served in conflicts and who are still serving our country today.
We remember because the injured soldiers need some help and support.
We remember because of all of the people who lost someone that they loved in the war.
We remember because of all the soldiers that died in the poppy fields.
We remember because soldiers are still fighting.
We remember because the soldiers who fought and gave their lives for us must be thanked some how.
We remember because the men signed up to save our country.
We remember because we still live in a democratic country.
We remember because millions of families have lost uncles, brothers and Dads and are now not complete.
