Today we all had a pink day.  Everybody either dyed their hair pink or wore pink.  Primary 6 were given the responsibility for the day.  There were jobs for everyone.  6 people took photographs, 6 people stood in-front of the school and told everyone about the breast cancer campaign, 6 people collected the donations and [...]

The primary 1 children in P1/2 have been practising their handwriting in lots of different ways. Fergus practised his writing in the sand! Then he took a photo to show us what a great job he had done. Well done Fergus!

Pencaitland  Primary School are doing a music cd for Christmas and will sell them in time for Christmas. There are going to be people coming to record us singing. P6 and 7’s have to design a Christmas cd  cover. The primary 1’s and 2’s will be singing some songs, the primary 3-7’s will be singing [...]

P4 are learning about invertebrates. On Monday 1st of October we had a trip to Longniddry beach. Roger the ranger split us into groups and asked us to find as much sea life in the rock pools as possible. We found lots and lots, even a blue rayed limpet!!

Today Primary 6 went along to visit P1/2 and listened to their spider stories. P1/2 did really well creating their own spider booklets. It was a few pages long and had a handmade spider character hanging from the cover. There were loads of bright pictures inside and we liked trying to [...]

The Royal Observatory planetarium visited P2/3 and P3 today. This is what the children thought of it:

P6 have just started doing French and we all have been enjoying it so far. Last week we were trying some French foods: cheese, bread and apple tarts which were yummy.  This week we have been learning some French greetings words and we cant wait till next time.

Today was our evacuation day. We dressed up as evacuees and Mrs Robertson was a 1940’s teacher. We also had French with Mrs Swinton and we learnt the five times table by saying it lots of times in French. We rearranged our desks into rows and sat there until lunchtime. We are now back [...]

The Primary 5 Running Club has come to an end, and huge thanks must go out to the 20 pupils involved for their enthusiasm and  commitment. It was great to see the increased confidence in their abilities and stamina over the 4 weeks.

As part of our WW2 project we are going to dress up as evacuees .We are all looking forward to it. Hopefully there will be some photos put on the blog to show you what it was like .We will keep you posted on our WW2 project and what we have been learning in P7.

P7 received our Ross High diaries on Friday 21st September. They are very impressive and we are all enjoying using them. The pages are like a proper diary and at the bottom of each page there is either a fact or a quote.

This afternoon P7 have been learning some more about blogging. We have been working in class to prepare some work for everyone to see. Hopefully it will be ready soon!
