P3’s Grand Day Out
We had a wonderful day out at Dalkeith Country Park today. When we arrived at the park this morning we were met by the Park Ranger who took us for a long and very enjoyable tour through the woods. He pointed out lots of interesting trees and plants along the way. We went up hills, along the steep river banks and through wild prickly bushes! It was all very exciting and built up a healthy appetite.
After lunch we played a game where we had to try and find objects placed, half hidden (camouflaged) along the edges of a path. We all had to walk along and count how many objects we could see. Only one of the class saw all twelve.
We tried a new game, Ultimate Frisbee, then half of us played football, while the other half tried out the adventure playground. We swapped over after a short time, but all too soon it was time to get back to the bus.
Some of the photos of our day can be seen below.
