After 5 weeks of gruelling training under the control of Ms Bartlett and Mrs Elder, several members of P4 took to the streets of Pencaitland for the inaugural PPS GREAT WEE RUN.

Well we all arrived safely and in good spirits. After a filling and enjoyable lunch we met our activity group tutors and were shown around the camp site. P6 organised a very successful sports day for the school today.  Unlike last weeks ‘Potted sports’, today’s event was more traditional.  Our class competed in a running race and an egg (golf ball!) and spoon race.  We all had great fun and didn’t even mind the cold wind.

Primary 5 have been practising taking pictures with the digital camera. We learnt how to upload pictures onto the laptop and then pasted them into a slideshow we created about our school.

We had a wonderful day out at Dalkeith Country Park today.  When we arrived at the park this morning we were met by the Park Ranger who took us for a long and very enjoyable tour through the woods.  He pointed out lots of interesting trees and plants along the way.  We went up hills, along [...]

Sunday saw the finals of the Lothian & Borders 5-a-side competition with the best teams from both East Lothian and Midlothian primary schools battling it out for the trophy.  For such a small school Pencaitland had already done incredibly well to qualify for this finals day.  The team chosen to represent the school was Fergus, [...]
