P7 Football Tournament
Never mind the Champion’s League - the best football on view this week was at Meadowmill in East Lothian. 15 Primary Schools sent teams to compete for the John Home Robertson trophy. Pencaitland were drawn in an initial group with Stoneyhill, Pinkie and the Burgh. Playing some fast flowing one touch football, the stars of Pencaitland managed a creditable win and two draws taking them to the top of the group. The four group leaders were then put together in a “champions league” and once again Pencaitland put on a great show with one win, one draw and a single defeat. However when all the results were totted up it was heartbreak for the boys as they missed out on a semi-final place by virtue of a mere single goal difference. You can see some of the action below.
