Today we made a windchime. We made it out of keys, coins, wool , pipecleaners and metal objects.  We put a dreamcatcher on the windchime and when we clanked the metal objects together it made a tinging sound. Ms Lewis saw an idea on Sandaig Primary School blog for creating Christmas stars. We listened to the children’s instructions using Microsoft Word and created some of our own.

We decorated our cake today and we think it looks fab.

All the children at Pencaitland enjoyed their Christmas lunch this week. Thanks to Primary 7 who organised all the classes and the dining staff for producing such an excellent meal.

Today we designed Christmas cards on kid pix.There were all sorts card designs such as puddings,trees,snowmen and santas oh! dont forget stars! We used paint, lines, pencil, letters and circles. Now some are hanging in the P.5.classroom if you would like to come and see some more try to see them before 15/12/06.

The nursery have been really busy this week. Jocelyn has been putting decorations on the tree and look at the cake we’ve been baking. Click on the photos to see a bigger picture.
 

 We have been celebrating St Andrew’s Day. We made shortbread and dressed up in tartan, kilts and dresses.

The p5 assembly this time was about advent (Christmas). Advent is a time for preparing for Christmas. My job was telling the different parts of a christingle represent and Lewis’s job was showing the survey results.

This week we found out that at the bottom of our stomach we have got a muscle that goes up and down when we breathe. The muscle is called the diaphram. We have got a windpipe that goes down through our throat. The windpipe carries air to our lungs.
