Group 1 and Group 2 have moved onto new books : Goodnight Mister Tom & The Ruby In The Smoke, which have been made into DVDs. These groups get to watch the movies as they go along in the book. Unfortunately, Group 1 have no books for The Ruby In The Smoke so they are only watching the DVD and have got past an hour. The movie is about a young girl who’s Father had been murdered out at sea on the famous boat ‘The Lavinia’ which sunk when Sally was younger. She now as an enemy, Mrs Lockhart, who is trying to steal the ruby off Sally but she doesn’t have it, she needs to find out where it is and get Mrs Lockhart’s servent girl, Adelaine as far away as possible.

Our class has a new camera so we will hopefully be putting some new pics on.There will hopefully be a pic of the class and some pics of our fantastic work.So keep a look out for them!!

Address to the Nation

As you probably know our year group’s topic is WW2. Recently, we have created our own Speach to the Nation. To inspire us with this challenge we have watched a short speach made by Neville Chamberlian, announcing that Britain has now declaired war with Germany. This helped us complete the task and they are now in display on our class door.

Sing Along Christmas Songs

Primary six and seven have been attending a sing along in the hall every wednesday morning with Mrs Scott(deputy)and Mrs Roberts(music teacher)starting from next week we will be working on christmas songs .Hopefully we will be giong down to the O.A.P home and we will be singing the christmas songs that primary six and seven have chosen.We are also singing christmas songs as our tribute to the christmas craker tea.

Pupil Councilors

Our primary 7 Pupil Councilors this year is, in P7M; myself Aimee Buchanan. P7S; Beth Edwards. P7P; Lee Goodger. Our deputies are, P7M; Jordan Ritchie. P7S; Amy Berg. P7P; Claire Boothman. As pupil councilors this year we hope to make our school a better place for everyone. We also hope to bring new ideas and make a difference.

Pantomime

For our panto this year we are going to see Aladin at the kings theater.We hope its going to be as good as last years Goldilocks and the three bears.Once we have seen it we will put another post on and tell you all how it was.

Singalong

All P7’s + P6’s will be taking part in a weekly singalong on every Wednesday morning. Our singalong is held by our deputy head teacher; Mrs Scott + our music teacher; Mrs Roberts. If you have a song that is appropriate, with no swearing and songwords prepared, see Mrs Scott and she will over look them and if they a suitable, your song could be played and sung at assembly.

Gym

Primary 7M’s gym will be on Thursday. All pupils should bring in their gym kit or they will not be able to particapate in their gym session.

World War 2 Topic

The P7’s new topic is WW2. One of our teacher’s friends brought in some artifacts from round about that time. We are learning some new World War 2 songs with our music teacher, Mrs Roberts.

If there are any parents willing to come in and talk to the primary sevens or bring any sort of models or artifacts in, please phone the school. Big thank yous to those who do!

Homework

All homework is handed out on Monday/Tuesday afternoon. All homework should be finished and brought back to class on Thursday every week. Maths homework will be handed out by your maths teacher. Reading will also be given out weekly. If homework is not handed in it will have to be done in Golden Time.
