Its been a short week
May 8th, 2009 by Primary 6
We have only had three days this week. Some of the lessons we did included making some covers for our Robots in Robotics. There was some really good names and designs. Some of the names reflected their cover, like The Bat Mobile which looked like a fierce bat like creature. I can’t wait until we do our Robo-Race next week. Another Robot was called Eco-Rob and he loves litter. This week in maths, the triangle girls had some fun with the D.S’s in brain trainer, and it was the best maths ever. The other groups were doing graphs. Soon they will have a shot on the Nintendo D.S.’s sooner or later.Next Friday we will be on Glo meet to listen to an author called Anthony Horowitz. It is on the internet for lots of people to see. We will be asking him two questions and he will give us the answers, but, unfortunatly he can’t see us but we can see him. We are reading right now one of his latest books called Necropolis. I am personally glad that the main character is a teenage girl! We did some mapping with wool. The way to do this was you measured the length of wool that went along the wiggly lines between the places. We could then stretch out the wool and measured it. It was so much fun. We also learned things about raciscm this week too and talked about our feelings over it. We made some raciscm poems too. We continued with our cycling too learning all about left turns.

At our school in New Zealand the students are also doing Robotics. I will keep an eye on this blog to lets the students see what you are doing and that might give them so inspiration to get completed or even better some ideas. Nicely presented blog, a lot of work has clearly gone into it.

We are half way through robotics and we are having fun. Next week we will be doing 10 pin bowling. Last week we had a race.
