1.      How many baby do seals have?

Seals will usually have 1 pup per year the grey seals have their pups at the end of the summer and common seals have their pups in spring

2.      Were does seals live?

Seals spend most of their time swimming in the sea but will also spend time up on rocky beaches.

3.      What sort of seals live in Scotland?

Both the Grey Seal and the Common Seal are found all around the coast of Scotland.

4.      What do seals eat?

Seals mainly eat fish such as Herring or mackerel but will also eat crabs.

5.      How many seals do you look after?

We currently have 2 resident female common seals that were born in captivity, we also care for injured or abandoned seal pups that are rescued by the Scottish SPCA we have currently rescued and  released over 40 seal pups since our Seal Sanctuary opened in June 2005.

1. Northern fur seals babies are black.

2. Some seals are white.

3. Walruses are the only seals that grow.

4. Mother seals can recognise their babies by their cries and their scent.

5. Harbour seal pups can swim from birth.
