 There are many many different breeds of dogs, from pedigree breeds to cross-breeds. Each and every breed is different and suited to different homes and owners. • It can be difficult to tell when a dog is pregnant, her tummy may swell, she may produce milk and she might make a nest in her bedding. The only way to be sure, however, is to take the dog to the vet, who can confirm the pregnancy.
• When puppies are first born, they feed from their mother’s milk. When they get a little older, they will eat four small meals a day. Their stomachs are too small to cope with large amounts. In full adulthood, a dog should eat 2 meals a day. This can be dry or wet dog food.
• Dogs can see in colour! However, a dog’s most powerful sense is his sense of smell; their eyesight is not as good as a human’s eyesight.
• A dog’s lungs work in the same way as a human’s lungs.

Guide dogs need to know what the owerner is saying so it knows where its going.

Guide dogs have a traing club for them to training.
Most guide dogs are labradors.

Guide dogs need a lead when it gos out for a walk

1. It takesa a walk a day to get your dog used to the outside.

2. The puppies begin dried food with the puppy meat and start drinking water.

3. Dogs can only see white, grey and black.

4. When a dog is first born it should have lots of support.

5. Guide dogs know where they are going because they have lots of training.
