Nursery- Harvest Time

In the nursery we have been learning about Harvest time. We watched a DVD all about a combine cutting a field and what it did to the wheat. We used a mortar and pestle to grind up some wheat to make flour. We made bread for snack and also tried some other foods made from wheat.

Hello to everyone in the nursery,
Your home-made bread looks really yummy- I bet you enjoyed eating it for snack!
I wonder if the flour you used came from the wheat in the fields around Ormiston?
It’s great to see all your photos on the website- thanks Mrs Mc Keown!
