The School and the Community

THE SCHOOL AND THE COMMUNITY
An important feature of school life is the development of links between the school and the community it serves. Departments are encouraged to integrate aspects of the local community into their courses to make students aware of the history and nature of their local area and its resources. In addition, the community is welcomed into the school to share its resources and to attend functions such as the Christmas Concert. The school Charities Committee aims to integrate the raising of funds for charities with local needs and to organise events in support of the local community, for example the Christmas Party organised for local senior citizens.
