Hi Neil,

Hope your enjoying Dunbar. I'm surviving Hawick, need some pointers on my s3 class though. Say hello to Suzanne for me.

Hi Neil
Glad you liked the podcast - it`s amazing what editing can do to turn someone's ramblings into a semi-coherent discourse ! Thanks for the comment on my blog - at least there appears to be a few jobs appearing in East Lothian now. Just have to get past the 300+ applicants that will no doubt be applying for each one.

Hi Neil. Best of luck setting up an international link. Have you thought about using www.geogalot.net - there is possibilities for a link with a school in Tunisia, France or the Philippines at the minute. If you are interested please get in touch via www.geogalot.net or www.geographyalltheway.com.

Take care.

Me & my school are not candidates as a) I teach English & b) we're in the Highlands (not exactly International). I do, however, have a Finnish friend who is interested in creating international links between schools. Interested? Let me know and I'll let him know!

Quite often the same thing happens to me - you get a great idea for a post, and realise that other people have posted about it already. What usually prompts me to post anyway is the simple fact that I have a unique voice - we all do. I bring my own experience and opinion to everything I talk about. As do you.

The best posts I read are when people simply talk about what they were up to that day. In the realm of education, I gain by this, as it prompts me to think about my own experience and practice.

Thanks for sharing the inspirational lesson you saw. If you hadn't blogged about it, how else would I have heard?

Thanks for the interesting link and book idea - another one for the wishlist. I'm getting increasingly concerned about the lack of pace to a) make children enjoy school b) let kids see that they need knowledge to save our planet from us. The lack of pace is not from their part, so who does that leave?

I was going to say "Google Earth", but I see that you're using that already. As Don said, the kids will be full of ideas. Also, they will amaze you by how skilled they are as users of the board. They've all used them in maths, so they'll probably be able to teach you a thing or two (they certainly do me!)

And speak to Ollie Bray. He's never short of an idea or 50!
