East Links taster

Today was the preschooler’s outing to East Links family park. EVERYONE had a FANTASTIC TIME!
These are just a few photos of our day……but check back in about a weeks time when hopefully all the photos will be combined into a video. If you have any photos of the day that could be added to the video add a comment to this post and I will contact you.
We hope you enjoy the Summer holidays. WE WILL MISS YOU ALL….and the mummies and daddies!

Ice cream day

As a special treat….. we had ice cream today….yum, yum!

‘Go Bananas’ Healthy Snack Sale for Malawi

We had great fun at our ‘Go Bananas’ snack sale. Each room made something to sell: room 1 made popcorn, room 2 provided drinks with ice and room 3 made fruit kebabs. We decorated our stall and also made posters to advertise the event.
We raised about £35 - well done everyone! The money raised will go towards our Malawi project which aims to raise £7,000 to build a kitchen in a school. We are working with our local primary and high school to achieve this.

Day Centre visit!

Today 4 lovely ladies from the Day Centre came to visit us. We had a special surprise for them…..we had used some of the money we raised for the Grand Prix to buy them some presents. We bought them songs books, egg shakers, spiral balls, a hoop target game and a wartime memories book.
Keep a look out in the East Lothian News for the official photo.

Eco animation

The long awaited Eco animation! A big thank you to Simone and Johnathan Charles, Tony Smith and Catriona Spencer for their help. Please click on the link above to view film.

Sporty Day!

Our very successful Sporty Day was held on Monday 16th June for both the morning and afternoon classes. Thankfully the weather stayed dry for us!
Ruth our active schools coordinator organised the event with help from some S4 high school students. Mr Barnes, headteacher of Law Primary School, presented the certificates in the morning. A BIG thank you to all of them.
Some of the children were very proud of themselves by undertaking activities they hadn’t tried before, e.g. climbing across the ropes. Most importantly EVERYONE had FUN!

Have you looked at your child’s learning story lately?

Looking at your child’s learning story with them can be an excellent opportunity for your child to tell you about what they “can do” and what they practising (next steps).
