Haiti Fundraiser!!!!

The final total raised by our Room 3am’s Haiti fundraiser is £42.34. This money has been donated to the British Red Cross Haiti fund.
Thank you to our parent helpers for assisting the children printing the paper.

Parents’ Curriculum Evening

We hope everyone who managed to attend the recent curriculum evening found it useful and informative. The presentation -A Problem Solving Approach to Early Years Maths - was delivered by Mhairi Stratton and Joyce McIntosh, Principal Teachers who have been working on this project for the local authority.
We intend to put some of the content of the presentation on the website soon.
The Parents Committee laid on a lovely spread after the talk which was enjoyed by all.

Room 3am’s Haiti fundraiser

Sorry for the delay in carring out the Haiti fundraiser but unfortunately the necessary supplies did not arrive in time for the previous date.
The new date for the Haiti fundraiser is Thursday 11th March. So please remember to bring some pennies to buy our ribbon, gift tags and hand-made wrapping paper AND remind the children to wear red and blue like the Haiti flag.

Say *Cheese*!!!! (photographer)

The photographer came to visit us last week. She brought her special camera, big white backgrounds and big lights. We had to remember to smile for our photos!

Individual photo orders need to be returned by Monday 15th March.

When the class photos arrive they will be displayed by each room’s door…so watch out for them!

Pancakes!

Poppy’s dad is a chef so he came in to room2 in the afternoon to help us make pancakes. We loved flipping them up in the air.

Accordian fun!

The morning boys and girls enjoyed listening and singing along to the accordian played by Mr Hood, Eilidh’s grandpa. Mr Hood also told us how an accordian works.
We especially enjoyed practising our highland dancing when Mr Hood played some Scottish music.

Haiti Earthquake!

The boys and girls in room 3 have been very interested in talking about the Haiti earthquake and the devastation it has left. They have already been brainstorming how they could help raise some money for the cause. So it looks like we will be very busy after the holidays putting these plans into action.

Music with Pat Holden

Pat Holden came in 2 weeks ago and taught us some fantastic new songs - enjoy joining in at home.

We love Highland dancing!
