The Magic Key

By Imogen Greenan 7D

“AT LAST Sam cried after all these years we have finally finished this wonderful, imaginative and extraordinary……….well, key.” It was now time for Lindsay to add some finishing touches just to make it look promising.

Since she had been muttering on about being bored all afternoon and every second the clock decided to tick, so he thought it would be fair! “A hint of gold with the tip of my paintbrush.” She whispered to herself in a very tense voice. Just when Sam was ready to test the key, Mum screamed through the house “ Lindsay, Sam come downstairs now, hurry up!” so loudly there was a faint echo repeating itself softly. Whenever that happened they knew they had to move, FAST!

Sam cantered down the stairs with his scruffy brown hair shaking about, and his big clumpy shoes trailed behind, followed gently by Lindsay swaying her bright blonde hair, and admiring her brand new manicure.

Self assessment

1. It has lots of description example: Sam cantered down the stairs with his scruffy brown hair shaking about, followed gently by Lindsay admiring her brand new manicure.
2. I varied my sentences.
