Hello Bloggy, my old friend. I’ve come to talk with you again…
Well, my plans to blog throughout the lazy, freewheeling summer holidays rather crashed and burned, didn’t they? I’m starting again now, right on the first day back, lest I lose the habit altogether.
Funny things blogs. I admire those people (I suppose Don is the most prominent on Edubuzz) who manage to combine blogging with a fantastically complicated life pattern, and still (or rather: purposefully) find real value in their blogging experience.
I occasionally dip into the extensive blog of an old friend who lives many miles away - we only tend to see each other once or twice a year. Though we once lived under the same roof, our lives have now diverged hugely. She is a single professional and seems to concentrate on looking for - actually looking for - ways to spend her considerable free time and money. I find it so hard to comprehend: for me, both resources are in such short supply and are considerably over-subcribed! Do I envy her? Yes and no. It might be nice to spend a week or two like that, but compared to life with all the Little Soups, I think I might start to find it somewhat… self-defined.
So I’m sorry blog, if I’ve neglected you, but Family Comes First.

Welcome back! Don’t feel bad about giving edubuzz a rest. Web sites need holidays too, you know.
David’s right, but I’ve missed your perceptive comments over the hols…glad you’re blogging again.
Dorothy
Thank you, both of you. Sometimes it feels like blogging into a black hole, so it’s always lovely to receive comments
