Yikes!

You mean that one day I'll be old enough that I have to be a responsible adult?

...Never happened yet...!

We're at the other end of the scale and I have the opposite frustration of the eldest leaving things at school, by accident of course. Except that it's such a regular occurrence! Music and instruments, mostly, so that he can avoid having to practice. I've regained some modicum of control by resurrecting a second instrument at home and photocopying music. I can't do the same with bits of homework unfortunately. I wonder how old they are when it dawns that they have to take responsibility for themselves?

My real nemesis is TinySoup who emulates older Offspring by unpacking and repacking schoolbags in a rather... creative manner.

But it's not like it's any skin off my beak! More the frustration that none of my clever aides-memoires (pl?) are really doing the trick.

As for feeling positive about it... ah, I feel another posting coming on...

Oh. I remember the frustration! It seems like only yesterday, even though my youngest is now heading down the final straight at school.
At times like these I comforted myself that I knew at least one quote from the Classics. It went something like "forsan et haec olim meminisse juvabit". It's from the Aeneid and it means (approximately) "One day we may remember even this with joy"
It's true. I do :-)
