Curriculum for Excellence

As parents, have you heard of Curriculum for Excellence?  Have you heard your children talking about being a responsible citizen, successful learner, effective contributor or confident individual?

If you would like to know more about the new curriculum in schools in Scotland, there is a really useful video especially for parents on the Curriculum for Excellence website.  The video provides a short and very useful overview of the curriculum and will help you to have a better understanding of what it is all about.

I’m really impressed with this site. .It has a nice clean look and feel and it’s really easy to navigate.
There’s loads of interesting stuff there and it’s nice to be able to get a feel for what goes on in the school without waiting for parents night.
I also really like the idea that pupils and parents can get involved and contribute. I have a daughter in P2 and I’ll certainly be encouraging her to log on and have her say.
A big thank you and well done to all involved in making this happen.

Well done to the pupils, staff and parents of the school who all work to ensure an achieving, stimulating and fun learning environment for all.
