Pupil Council
Jacob and Ross have been raising funds for football posts. This is the competition winners. The children had to draw their favourite cartoon. The winners received a laminated copy of their entry.
Well done to Lorna, P5 winner of the nail competition.

A new pupil council has been set up, with members from primary 3 to primary 7. The children have great enthusiasm and lots of plans for this session. Already, primaries 5-7 have organised a playground rota, where the councillors take turns to play games with the younger children at both morning and lunch intervals.
The older children have set up a swap shop and nail bar. These activities will take place once a month during Golden Time on Fridays. Any profits raised will go towards new goal posts for the pitch.
So far the swap shop has been going very well and we have raised £25 with help from various people. The children who have got games have really enjoyed them. The memberships are only £1 and all the money raised will go towards goalposts. Please bring in old comics that are in good condition and get others for 20p and hand them in to Josh in p7a.

The Pupil Council have raised over £40 to buy a set of goalposts. This is a fantastic achievement in such a short time. Our next meeting is on Thursday,16th October, when the councillors will be looking at catalogues to get the best deal on goalposts and bibs.
Well done Pupil Council! I am sure the goals will be really popular and support outdoor play!
Well done to Lorna for winning the nail competition! What did she have to do?
We had to draw round our hand and then draw our nails. After that we drew our design on our nails and mine was the saltire flag and fireworks.
The pupil council had a meeting today and issues such as playground helpers and money raised for goalposts were high on the agenda. Councillors will continue to help in the infant playground, but with improved plans. Although, children had raised £45, when studying catalogues it was discovered this was not enough, as the one they want is considerably more expensive, £65. It was decided, with the approval of Mr Girdwood, to organise a non-uniform day tomorrow for P7 only and charge £1. This should give councillors enough to buy the posts they want and perhaps some football bibs as well.
The pupil council have raised £65 and have bought goalposts, a football and warning cards.
Very well done to all concerned.
well done its good to hear its going well.Aimie
