Galette du Roi - P4 January 6, 2009

Alex’s grandmother brought these special delicacies over from France. Galette du Roi is eaten on 6th January to celebrate to the arrival of the kings who came to worship Christ.

Each Galette du Roi contains a little trinket and the person who finds the trinket gets to be king for the day.

Hello,
I enjoyed seeing the photo’s & reaading about the Galette du Roi.
My grandson, Ethan, who is 5 moved to live in France in October 2008. He has started school & was lucky enough to find the trinket in his slice of cake & be King for the day & take the crown home.
