The boys in P7 have been given a once in a lifetime chance to do break dancing with John Edmiston on Thursdays and Fridays.

P7A discovered new technology called Google SketchUp. You can design 3D shapes of any type and even make your own!

Mark made a bit of a wacky shape but obviously he likes it!

Ross discovered that you could colour them in.

It looks like Connor and Rhiannon made a wheel.

Some of the boys were playing foot ball in the snow and they probably got very cold!

We were writing our names in the snow and having a lot of fun.

Eilidh and Laura were exhausted from playing in the snow!

The girls were having so much fun they started to jump up and down.

Scottish Schools Swimming Championships January 30, 2010

Sam from P7B was competing this morning in the Scottish Schools Swimming Championships at Tollcross in Glasgow. His event was the 50m breaststroke. Sam entered the race in 18th place and finished in eighth, with a fantastic time of 44.25 seconds! Well done, Sam! Mid Calder PS is very proud of your achievement.

East Calder Pigeon Club

         Saturday 6th February 2010

                   7pm - 12am

                  Ticket price £5 per person including buffet.

Come and enjoy a great night of live music with local band “Sound Advice”.

    The last Party Night was a great success and everybody had a fab time.

You will receive a flyer with an order form from your child. The form and full payment should be placed in a sealed envelope marked for the attention of the PSA. Hand in to your child’s teacher or to the front office. Payment can be made using cash or cheque which should be made payable to “Mid Calder Primary School PSA”

These drawings are by Claire, Eilidh, Eloise and Jenny from P6B and will appear on our GLOW MEET page. Mid Calder Primary are hosting the Bard’s Birthday Celebrations on Monday, 25th January. Primary schools across West Lothian will join us in poetry and song to commemorate the birthday of Robert Burns.
