The 5th March is famous for lots of things according to Mr Bray at Assembly this morning. This year the 5th March is also World Maths Day. World Maths Day falls on the first Wednesday of March every year.

Today students at Musselburgh Grammar School have been competing with other schools from around the world using the world maths day website. Everyone in the school has been given a card with their unique log in and password. Some pupils have now been practicing for over a week. In fact, over the weekend 46, 000 maths questions were answered correctly using the World Maths Day website.

Everyone in the school who had maths today got to take part and lots of other subject departments also joined in. The library was also specially decorated for the event. Now we have to wait to see how we got on compared to the other hundreds of registered schools.
