Between preliminary examinations some of our senior pupils visited the Scottish Parliament today to meet our local MSP Kenny MacAskill. Here are some of the photographs from the trip below. The group also recorded the interview and they hope to turn this into a podcast.

Mr Hall has been working hard on the Musselburgh Grammar Events Page. The page now also includes pictures and video form the recent S6 and Staff Burns Night as well as other footage of end-of-term shows, gigs and other social events.
Last night we held an Internet Safety and Responsible Use Evening for parents of primary children in P6 and P7 within the Musselburgh Cluster. This is part of our school Building a Learning Community Initiative. I strongly believe that children pick up bad habits of inappropriate on0-line behaviour somewhere between P5 and S1.

We recently had a small group of student from Musselburgh Burgh up to the Grammar School to work with the CDT Department. The groups spent an afternoon designing and making key rings. The CDT department were particularly impressed with Mrs Kavanagh’s goldfish shaped keyring and have offered her a place in the Higher class!
Today at MGS we had a Wacky Hair Day to raise money for the Blythswood Charity Appeal. Well done to Katie in 1G1 who won the £10 HMV Voucher for the wackiest hair style! In total we managed to raise over £190 for charity! Well done to everyone involved.
Congratulations to Scott Fergus for winning the Silver medal in the U16 ‘D’ Singles at the recent Mid and East Lothian Championships. Any other pupils interested in playing Badminton should contact Mr Parker (Maths Department) or Mr Woodhead (Sports Co-coordinator).
Well done Abbie in 1G2 for her recent dancing success.
She won a Star Diva medal and a shield for her Acrobatics Gold medal performance.
